Ian has joined Coopman Search and Selection as Manager of the Accounting and Finance desk in London. Get to know Ian in this spotlight interview, discussing his reasons for joining Coopman, where he sees the Coopman brand in one year, his proudest achievement and more.

1. Tell us about your career prior to Coopman.

I began my career with the Royal Engineers, learning lifelong skill and values. Unfortunately, this time was cut short after sustaining a knee injury, and I found myself building a new career as a Medical Malpractice Broker with Lloyds. I decided to change careers having been made redundant, and I have gained strong experience in the recruitment world, with a focus on mid to senior level finance & accounting search within private equity.

2. Why did you want to join Coopman?

I joined Coopman due to its reputation within the Irish market and its strong grow prospects in the London market, which is an exciting opportunity. Moreover, Coopman’s core values align with my own which is very important to me when considering a new opportunity.

3. Where do you see the Coopman brand in one year?

Coopman has an exciting year ahead; Our market presence will continue to grow as we carve out new markets in London, and I’m looking forward to this challenge. We are also in a great position to build a strong global brand across new markets.
